It is a dry cargo container without a solid roof. The top side of open top containers is covered with a removable, weatherproof tarpaulin that can be secured with ropes. Lashing rings at the inside base of the container are used to secure and prevent shifting of cargo during movement. For the purpose of flexibility to load and unload, open containers have end doors. The metal beam above the door can be removed to the right or left and can also be dismantled from the container which helps for loading and unloading easily than normal dry container.
- Over-height cargo and heavy machinery can be loaded from top.
- Suitable for tall or large cargo that cannot be loaded through the container doors, such as machinery, sheet glass, steel, timber, scrap metal and building materials.
